Tip of the Week

Remind the child with ADD/ADHD to check over his/her own work to see that it is the best they can do and not just rushed and careless. A chart posted in the childīs bedroom or on his/her desk will help. For example, the child marks off having completed the work AND checking it over for grammer, missed questions, spelling, etc.

Or, assign an "assignment buddy," or a peer to help the child check over his or her work for errors. I highly recommend this book for a better understanding of ADHD.
