Teens need to know that suicide is a very selfish act and it needs to be pointed out to them how many people were hurt and left empty hearted because of that one selfish act. Teens should be made aware of all the people in their own lives that would be hurt should they do something like that. Often, everyone is left bewildered because they did not know the person was capable of committing suicide and they cannot come up with a reason why the person did what s/he did. Teens need to be reassured that in most cases, this is the norm, not the exception. They may never know the `whys` behind what happened.
