Wishy-Washy Co-ParentingFor some divorced parents, anger seems to pop up and disappear from time to time without obvious provocation. An "ex" spouse may be greeted cordially when picking up the kids one week and sneered at the next. Parents that do this typically have issues with interpersonal closeness to others. This behavior keeps the parent "safe," because the other parent is constantly thrown off base and does not know what to expect at any given minute. The offending parent may even be unaware of what s/he is doing. Either way, such behavior is unhealthy for the kids.
