Social Worker

There are many types of social workers, including clinical social workers, psychiatric social workers, and others. Many social workers hold a master´s degree or doctorate in family and psychology related issues. Some are licensed. A social worker trained in an accredited school will hold a M.S.W. degree or D.S.W. A licensed social worker will typically have a L.C.S.W. behind their name. This means they have gone through state licensing requirements and testing.
