ADD/ADHD In the Classroom
<font face="Comic Sans MS">Children with ADD/ADHD can often be helped by seating the child near a good role model that can serve as a model and peer "behavioral-health-treatment-and-therapy/index.html">behavior monitor." In other words, the student can help cue the child with ADHD when s/he is becoming distracted or fidgety, allowing the child to self-correct without disrupting the rest of the classroom and calling attention to him or herself. Likewise, it is best to seat the child with ADD/ADHD away from other children who are distractable or disruptive to help the child with ADD/ADHD focus and attend better.
